What’s Really Important?

  • Can you name the last half dozen Academy Award winners
  • Can you name the 5 wealthiest people in the world?
  • Can you name Baseball’s last 5 World Series winners?

Now think about these answers:

  • List the  one of the teachers who helped you the most.
  • Name one person who taught you a great lesson.
  • Think of one person, alive or dead, who when you were with them, always made you feel special?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care about you. Remember that the next time you see them and let them know how much you appreciate them.
